Rules

1. All children must be fully potty trained and three years or older to enter the main pool. Swim diapers are not permitted.

2. Children three through ten must be under supervision of an individual who is 18 or older.

3. Children 11 - 13 years of age may use the pool facility if they can demonstrate good swimming skills and pass a swim test given by the lead lifeguard.

4. All swimming devices must be U.S. Coast Guard approved.

5. Remember to protect your skin and use sun block.

Scuba Lessons @ Skylark

Courses start the second Monday of each month and run for four Mondays throughout each month. Class times are 7-9 pm @ the Skylark Aquatic Center Bldg 6482. Courses are available for participants ages 11 and up. Instructional fee is $225.00 per student. Students must also purchase a text book, mask, snorkel and fins prior to the class starting. We certify divers through SSI (Scuba Schools Intl.) For more information please contact the Skylark Aquatic Center @ 671-3780.

 

 

Water Aerobics

Water Aerobics are held @ the Skylark Aquatic Center, Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 5pm – 6pm. The cost is $2 per class or $15 for 12 sessions. Participants must be 15 or older to participate in the class. Inner Tube Water Polo

Games are held the last Saturday of each month @ the Skylark Aquatic Center from 5pm – 6pm. The cost is $2 per person or $10 per five-member team. Individual participants will be placed on a team. Youth Swim Team

The Lackland swim program has a youth swim team for ages 6 and up. Members of the team will learn competitive swimming that prepares them for competitive swim meets. Members will receive one free t-shirt and one free pool pass. The fee for each team member is $25 per month. Fees are due the first week of each month. Practice is held at the Skylark Aquatic Center, M, W, & F, from 6-7 PM. Participants must be able to pass the American Red Cross "Learn to Swim" program level 4 course or demonstrate level 4 abilities before they can join. Pool Parties

 

Reserve a pool for your own private party! All advance reservations must be made at least one week prior to the party. Pool parties are subject to be canceled due to inclement weather. Cost is $45 per hour. There is a  minimum of two hours per party. Private parties will only take place after regular swimming hours. A minimum of two certified lifeguard will be on duty for all after hour pool parties. Party times can take place after closing hours up to 11pm nightly. Learn to swim program

Swim Lessons
Jun – Aug / Medina Pool Bldg 141 & Skylark Aquatic Center Bldg 6482
Cost: $ 45 for 8 lessons
Days / Times: Tuesdays – Fridays 8, 9, 10 am & 5pm. Classes are 45 minutes long.

Lessons are held every two weeks starting in June and will run through August. Lessons are for ages 3 and up. The first two sessions will take place at the Medina swimming pool bldg 141 located on Lackland Training Annex Base. Sessions three through five will take place at the Skylark Aquatic Center bldg 6482. The first registration will take place at the Skylark Community Center on Friday 4 June @ 10am to 1pm. Students will be taken on a first come first serve basis, classes are subject to fill. Actual classes will begin on Tuesday 8 June. For more information please call 671-2413.
